Casa OBsidiana

Jalisco, Mx

Born from the collaboration of two legendary families, Casa Obsidiana unites the tequila-making heritage of the Beckmann Gonzalez family of Jalisco with the winemaking artistry of Jean-Charles Boisset and the Boisset Collection. Crafted at the base of Volcán de Tequila, the ultra-premium spirit draws inspiration from obsidian—Mexico’s ancient volcanic glass long revered by indigenous cultures as a symbol of protection, reflection, transformation, and positive energy.

Our team traveled to the agave fields and distilleries of Jalisco to document the story behind the brand's creation and the partnership that brought it to life. Through a combination of photography and cinematic video, we captured the founders as they followed the journey of Casa Obsidiana from volcanic soil to finished spirit—exploring every stage of the process, from agave cultivation and harvesting to distillation, barrel aging, craftsmanship, and the final shared pour.

Set against the dramatic landscape surrounding Volcán de Tequila, the content was designed to highlight the connection between place, heritage, and product. Obsidian serves as both a visual and symbolic thread throughout the story, reflecting the brand's commitment to honoring Mexican culture while embracing a modern luxury perspective. The resulting imagery celebrates the craftsmanship, artistry, and terroir that define Casa Obsidiana and the generations of expertise behind it.

The project delivered a robust library of brand photography and video assets that documented the launch of a new luxury tequila while capturing the founders' shared vision, the beauty of Jalisco, and the timeless traditions that continue to shape tequila culture today.
